Rabbit-Force Subs

Man, SOUL EATER is awesome.. when I first watched it, I was like.. hmm this feels familiar.. the feel that the show is made of WIN - then I saw the bones logo and the mystery was solved ;3 (btw, I really like the seiyuu for Maka, unlike it seems many ppl :/).
Anyhoo.. why was I writing this post.. ah, right:

As usual, I’m using ordered chapters so Haali Matroska Splitter + setting Options -> Input -> Try to open linked files to yes is a MUST.

So what’s new? The source, that’s what :D As with RK, I came to the (obvious) conclusion that the raws I was using for DB are pure crap.. ;OTL So uh-oh, ‘obtained’ the Dragon Box DVD ISOs (reencoded to DVD5 though, but since DB compresses well to begin with, it didn’t have much of an impact on the content). Next thing I did was play with the DVDs.. for a long time..
then I focused more on other projects (RK TV/OVA, KK) and that’s more or less the reason for the HUGE delay (that, and my laziness, of course).

Now on to important stuff: Rabbit-Force needs you! That’s right, I’m talking to you, you hawt, mune pettan, a bit tsun dere typesetter/QC/editor/TL/sex slave/whatever. Erm, what I wanted to say is: I’m kinda unmotivated/lazy to check/improve the subs for DB. For each ep I have to translate the preview too,
and since my Japanese is FAAAAR from perfect/good, it’s quite demanding for me.
So here’s the deal: either I find someone who is willing to do those tasks or I’ll just sacrifice some/none improvements to the subs, accuracy of the TL of the preview, etc for the sake of speed.
Because right now I have DB encoded up to
ep 42 and the only that’s holding me back is issue with the subs.

Ah, experienced ppl only - sorry, but if I want to have crap subs/mistakes, I can as well make them myself ;o

Bah, I had those encodes on my HDD for some time now, but I just couldn’t get to upload them..
Anyhoo, enjoy, CLANNAD 10-12, DVD rip, etc, etc, carrot, bla, bla.

I strongly recommend getting it from our xdcc bot, R-F|Ninjin, instead of the torrent, since my seedbox kinda died on me and the seeding speed is ultra slow atm >_<;;

PS: I revised the filterchain (if you could call that short avs script that..)
and the encoding options for x264, so hopefully the encode is even better ;o
PPS: To all you DB fans: just a bit more patience, I have eps 1v2-9 done, but I want to release a 1v2-13 batch, so you’ll have to wait a bit more (not more than week, I hope).

Since a *certain* blog mentioned that I’m responsible for the DVD rips of CLANNAD for #BR-RAWS, I figured it was about time to release those encodes I had on my HDD for some time now =_=’ So~ enjoy, CLANNAD 07-09, in DVD quality, both audio and video, plus subs by SS-Eclipse.

For now, it’s only available via our bot - R-F|Ninjin, when DVD Vol. 4 comes out, I’ll make a batch torrent for 07-12 :3

And the usual report on the status of the Dragon Ball release (why am I even bothering.. :P):
currently half-finished encoding eps 1-6, after that I’ll probably encode another 6 and release them as a 1-12 batch… Sorry for the delay, but I changed the filterchain again, so I had to reencode it >_<;; So… a DB is coming.. have faith and bear with me ;p Once I start releasing it, it should go way faster :P

And you thought that a colony drop was bad..

Long story short: Rurouni Kenshin TV is dropped as of now :(

Long story long: well, when I started this project, I was a complete n00b (not that I’m an expert now or anything, but I believe I’ve learned a lot since then :) and what I’ve taken as ‘ZOMG R2J QuaL1ty!!’ was in fact oversharpening (and some other artifacts) >_<;; While in my v2s of RK I tried to fix that (dehaloing, etc), the result was in fact worse than R1 rips by, say AHQ. And with the fact that fixing the subs has become too much of a hassle and I was thinking of just releasing them as-is (with a possible release of just the fixed ASS files later), that would mean that my rips would only have the advantage of OP/ED karaoke (or OP/ED in the case of AHQ) and styled subs… And that’s not enough for me to release 95 eps of blur T_T. I’d prefer to work on some projects that I have actual R2J DVD ISOs
(and not some crappy oversharpened, oversmoothed Chinese raws >_<), so to end this struggle (I know a lot of ppl would want a nice, true R2J rips of RK) I’m dropping RK,
so that I can focus on other projects, which, hopefully, I’ll be able to bring in whole R2J glory :3

Dragon Ball fans, don’t worry - I’m not dropping DB, in fact expect a release soon, this time based on the actual Dragon Box DVDs :3
